PICTURE NUMBER 5.
Pete - David Bryan sent me the series of pictures
taken in approximately l939 at the Gray Co. Fair. Picture number 5 was
published in the Jacksonian two or three years ago. That article might have
more information in it that I can give you. This picture was on a picture
postcard in a tourist attraction in Calif. Edwin Jacques, Jr. of
Montezuma, is my first cousin. He is still living. My mothers sister, Maude
Butcher, married Edwin Jacques Sr. This is the round about way that I found
out something about this picture.
The lady on the left is Gracie Odle (Mrs. Ruben Odle).
The lady in the center is Katie Jacques. She was a sister of Eva
Jacques. These sisters were Edwin Jacques Aunt. These sisters never
married. Their Mother was Anna Rebecca Jacques. The lady on the right
is Anna Rebecca Jacques.
Edna English might be able to give you more information about Gracie Odle as
they were neighbors at one time.
Faces in some of the other picture look sort of familiar; however, I could
not identify any of them.
Sincerely,
Lorraine Nugent |
