Opened in 1994, Cimarron’s
Recycle Center collects disposable goods to be recycled, instead of
being buried in the land fill. An average of 70 ton per year is
recycled.
The center collects the
following materials:

Cardboard
|
Corrugated cardboard
only.
Boxes may be flattened
or left whole.

Brown Paper Bags
|

Newspapers & Inserts |
Remove rubber bands, plastic
wrap, and strings. |

Magazines
|
Removed plastic wrap.

Office Paper
|
Computer & Office
papers.
Shredded paper should be
bagged.
NO bright colored paper,
laminated, or black carbon copies.

Aluminum Cans
|
May be crushed or left
whole.
NO foil or disposable
foil pans.

Plastics #1
|
Clear plastic drink
bottles. Please rinse.

Plastics #2 Translucent
|
Milk jugs or
milk-colored drink bottles.
Rinse please and crush.

Plastics #2 Colored
|
All other colored #2
bottles.
Oil & Chemical bottles
must be triple rinsed.

be taken to the Gray County Public Works at 915 North Main, Cimarron.
This includes used oil, paint cans, chemicals, batteries, etc. |
CIMARRON COMPOST SITE
Located
from Main Street Stoplight, ½ mile south, ½ mile east.
The public is encouraged to bring grass, leaves and
tree branches to the compost site.
Leaves
and grass are placed in windrows, watered and turned periodically, to create
compost.
Tree
limbs are chipped into wood mulch.
Finished compost and wood chips can be picked up for public use.
