The Men's association
met in Mid-March 2004
The following was
discussed and decided.
1. The Men’s Association
would provide support for Tournaments, organize Work Days,
and would help with
Special Events. There would be a need for four volunteers for
tournaments.
2. The membership
fee was set at $25.00 which will include an automatic GHIN handicap
sign-up.
In regards to
handicapping, we would like to encourage you to establish a GHIN handicap. This can be done at the clubhouse with Brent or
the Clubhouse manager. You will be able to
post scores either at the clubhouse or at home using your Internet connection. There
would be no more guessing about how many strokes you need. Your handicap would be
documented! These handicaps will be used for Men's night, league play as
well as different tournaments when necessary.
3. The men will
take care of mowing and the care of the Clubhouse grounds. Included in
this area is the grass just to the north of the cart path used to enter the
playing area to just north of the putting green. Also that would include
the "flag island" area.
4. There was
discussion about the bank just east of #7 green. The Ladies association
has volunteered to put in a "flower/plant" area but they would want it
maintained by the Men's association. For the most part acceptance of
this plan was mixed with some noting the expense and time involved to keep
this area up from now on.
As stated, the dues to the Men’s
Association are $25.00 annually; you can sign up on Men’s Night, which is every Wednesday.
Tee off time for Men’s night is at 6 pm. starting May 5th, 2004. You may also contact Sparky Hefner, Pete Thomas,
Denis Wallace or Larry Ewart.
