Cart Rentals.
Golf Carts will cost $11.00 for nine holes with a $11.00 minimum.  Rentals above nine holes will be charged $11.00 per nine holes.  For example:

Nine Holes: $11.00
Eighteen Holes:  $22.00
Twenty-Seven Holes: $33.00  etc.

There is now a new rule just implemented concerning golf carts.  All normal rules will still apply such as staying thirty yards away from the greens, using the cart paths and not using the old dirt cart paths when going from hole three to hole four, hole six to hole seven and from hole eight to hole nine.  The cart paths have been extended either around or to the sides of 3, 6 and 8 to help keep the front of the holes clear which will speed up play and reduce grass wear.

The new rule is meant to help our fairways.  In the past we have kept carts on the "fairways only" for several reasons.  One is the lack of rain when we were trying to establish the second cut.  Also, there was concern of spreading stickers from the rough to the "planted" grass areas.

Since that time, the second cut has become better established and we are now experiencing extensive use on the edge of many of the fairways.  It is normal that most of us that "play" in the rough want to drive on the edge of the fairways to look for our balls and also to shorten our walk when we go to our ball.

Starting immediately, all golf carts will be allowed on the fairways and the second cut only.  The main concern is to keep the carts out of the "native grass" and off of bare spots.  Of course, on hole 8 we will have to cross native grass to get to the rest of the fairway but that should be the only area.

Mostly it all comes down to common sense.
1.  Keep on the fairways and second cut only.  Try to stay where the grass is green and in good condition.
2.  Help preserve our native grass.  Please stay off of the buffalo grass and rough.
3.  Try to keep off of the top of mounds in the fairways.
4.  Keep carts thirty yards or more away from the greens
5.  Use the blacktop and cement cart paths and not the old dirt paths.
6.  Pull clear around on 3,6 and 8 to help speed up play.
7.  "Scatter" when leaving the paths and even leave the paths early to help prevent grass wear.
8.  Do not drive and drive and drive looking for your ball.  Go to the general area and start looking.
9.  Use only the cart paths on both par three holes.

I feel if we use a little common sense the new rule will work out well for all of us.  Also keep in mind that our board is very receptive to our ideas.  Of course they cannot always do what we want but I know they listen and consider every suggestion.
